茄科植物是最重要的蔬菜作物。作為茄科植物的代表，番茄是日常生活的重要蔬菜，也是植物學(xué)研究的經(jīng)典模式系統(tǒng)。2012年，國(guó)際茄科基因組計(jì)劃（The International Solanaceae Genome Project, SOL）歷經(jīng)8年多的艱苦努力，完成了對(duì)栽培番茄全基因組的精細(xì)序列分析，這項(xiàng)成果于2012年5月31日以封面文章發(fā)表在國(guó)際權(quán)威學(xué)術(shù)期刊《自然(Nature)》。中國(guó)科學(xué)家高質(zhì)量地完成了番茄基因組測(cè)序總?cè)蝿?wù)的1/6，標(biāo)志著我國(guó)是番茄基因組學(xué)研究的強(qiáng)國(guó)之一。番茄基因組的解讀是科學(xué)家通過(guò)國(guó)際合作完成的又一個(gè)高質(zhì)量的模式植物的基因組序列分析。這項(xiàng)工作將極大推動(dòng)番茄乃至包括馬鈴薯、辣椒、茄子等在內(nèi)的茄科植物的功能基因組研究，為培育具有高產(chǎn)、優(yōu)質(zhì)、抗病蟲(chóng)害、抗逆等優(yōu)良性狀的茄科作物新品種打下了良好的基礎(chǔ)。                            

      “第十屆國(guó)際茄科植物生物學(xué)大會(huì)：基因組和表型組”將于2013年10月13-17日在北京友誼賓館召開(kāi)。茄科模式植物番茄以及馬鈴薯基因組序列的解讀為基礎(chǔ)和應(yīng)用研究中建立“表現(xiàn)型”和“基因型”之間的必然聯(lián)系提供了有力的工具。本次大會(huì)將為從事茄科植物基礎(chǔ)和應(yīng)用研究的世界知名專家、年輕學(xué)者和青年學(xué)生提供相互交流的平臺(tái)。除大會(huì)主題演講、大會(huì)邀請(qǐng)報(bào)告外、組委會(huì)和專題主持人將從遞交的摘要中遴選口頭報(bào)告，熱誠(chéng)歡迎國(guó)內(nèi)外同行踴躍遞交摘要并參加大會(huì)。
